And i just go up here and to insert go all the way down to the bottom. And put table of contents and it puts in this little box here the refresh to happen and it says add headings format paragraph styles and they ll appear in your table of contents so what i did is i created some pages here so if i go down to the second page. I see i have like an introduction and there could be a lot of information in here i click on it and i can insert paragraph styles format paragraph style sorry and there s all kinds of different headings or there s a few shortcuts here where i can just do headings it this way so i m gonna give it a heading of a two and then i will go down. And do the next one and here i am at the second one.
I m just gonna click and give it a heading also too and then show you up here nothing has happened. But if i go in here and refresh..
There they are and they will be links to those so i just gonna keep going here real quick to show you i have not changed. Justification. And then let s just pretend that i went down and all of these now you could set it before you wrote them and change your headings. But you wouldn t have to so those are all headings.
I have and i can use of different headings and i will show you later above with levels. I ll go back in here..
And i hit refresh. Now those are underlined and all that so that s why they are still there underlined so let s go into those down there and let s say that i had summary of experience summer and just winter. And i wanted them to be a header. But underneath those so let s say i went down to heading three and gave them heading three.
So this as you can see is heading two underneath. It is heading three..
What do you think it s gonna look like in our table of contents just like that so if i wanted to jump to winter. I would click on it and there it is i m right at winter nice way to get through documents and sections and jumping around in a web page for purnima document.
